"This modest yet powerfully affecting production capitalizes on the range of the art form [puppetry] and takes it to impressive heights... consistently startling." -The NEW YORK TIMES

"A charming and disturbing creation...  [FABRIK] opens up avenues of emotion beyond sanctimony, challenging us to laugh along with the defiant laughter of the persecuted." - -The VILLAGE VOICE

FABRIK is no ordinary puppet show.   From Wakka Wakka Productions and Figurteateret i Nordland Productions, FABRIK is the eerie and heartbreaking life story of Moritz Rabinowitz, a wealthy Polish emigre living in Norway in the years leading up to World War II. While raising a family and building a successful business as a clothier, Rabinowitz boldly combats the anti-Semitism emerging in his new homeland. Expertly-designed puppets and masks, delicate moves and lively song combine playfulness and virtuosity to bring life Rabinowitz's story, at once tragic and filled with hope. FABRIK is appropriate for ages 10 through adult.
